Instruction Levels:  SLIG primarily offers high-intermediate to advanced-level courses. Course 1 is taught at an intermediate level geared to strengthen the core understanding of the research process. All other courses assume a working knowledge at an intermediate level or above.  The course outlines will help you determine if the course is taught at the right level for you. 
 
   
 
Schedule:  SLIG 2018 opens with a networking social on Sunday, 21 January and closes with the Completion Banquet on Friday evening, 26 January. SLIG courses generally run Monday through Friday from 8:30 to 4:00 pm; some will include homework, consultations, or labs that extend beyond those times. Detailed course outlines will be available in early April.

Special Events:  2018 special events include a technology day, SLC tour, plenary session, SLIG Night at the Family History Library, and networking social. During the week, please join us in SLIG Central to network, shop at Maia's Bookstore, purchase SLIG Swag, check out the UGA membership benefits, view BCG portfolios, and more.
